About My Fantasy Map

This is a small site that I run on my own. I built it because the free map tools I tried were either powerful but slow to learn, or quick but with no way to change the terrain. I wanted one where you get a good-looking map in one click and can still paint over any of it, including on a phone.

There's one tool here, the fantasy map generator on the homepage. It can draw the same world two ways, as a painted map or as hex tiles, and you can flip between them at any time.

How it works

There's no AI drawing your maps. The terrain, rivers and climate are worked out from a seed, and then every mountain, tree and town is drawn with code.

What it costs

It's free, with no sign-up and no watermark. There's no paid plan to upsell you into, and the maps you make are yours to use however you want, including in things you sell. The terms say that in slightly more words.
